Ali began his culinary journey in 2017, working with Chef Agency in Edinburgh, where he gained invaluable experience across various restaurants and hotels. His exposure to diverse cuisines enriched his skills daily, and one notable highlight of his career was serving breakfast to the Spice Girls during their stay at the 5-star Kimpton Hotel.
In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, Ali decided to pivot his career and venture into the food truck business, bringing a variety of cuisines to local events. With a passion for Mexican food, he launched his first burrito truck, which quickly gained popularity.
By 2021, growing demand led to the addition of a second truck, allowing Ali to cater to larger events and offer a broader menu. Today, Alaburrito proudly operates four food trucks, providing bulk catering services for the military, film productions, and other large-scale events. In 2023, Ali and his team took their business to the next level by opening a permanent location on Morningside Road, Edinburgh.
Initially intended as a private tasting space for wedding clients, the venue soon opened its doors to the public, following increased interest from the local community.
We are honoured to serve a diverse range of clients, including Netflix, Apple TV, the Royal Navy, Land Rover, Gore, Müller, Trip.com, Sky Television, and Channel 4.
Thanks to the unwavering support of our local community and beyond, Alaburrito continues to thrive, serving satisfied customers across Edinburgh and the UK.
